Colorado day3

Rode from vernal to maybell, colorado, 93 miles, moderate climbing day. Even though there were lots of rollers with some good grades, when I get to the top and see more of the same, there is not exhaustion but elation at the beauty of the vision before me. the opportunity to ride thru it and see, feel, hear, smell, and touch it is fantastic. That and not having to be finished at a specific time or race to the day's finish. Camp tonight is in the maybell town park, large grass field for frisbee. Time for a run now. Carla will ride. Anaerobic at 9600 ft

Scofield tri swim faster, bike faster & higher, run just older, two climbs on bike up to 9600 then after tri rode to 9100 summit of indian canyon on highway 191. Camped at summit. Sunday biked to duchesne and then to vernal- down hill and a tailwind first fifty miles in 2:20. Scott and kids camped with us both nights. Almost ready to depart

After a long night spent packing and trying to sync the iphone and computer, we are almost ready to go. We have either remembered everything, or forgotten something and are sverely overpacked. Current weather in Henderson is 91 and cloudywith a predicted high of 112. In Scofield it is 64 and sunny, with apredicted high of 95 today.
